I want a pet

I really want a cat,
Unlike a rat or a bat,
What I really want is just a
CAT, CAT, CAT!
It will curl up at the foot
Of my woody bunk bed,
And will purr, purr, purr, but
Best of all, it will have-I just can't tell,
Oh, alright, I will just tell you,
These little pussy things, that just might be
A boy or a girl,
And are really really small,
Like just about--
Five inches,
And I guess that now you know
What I mean,
Because what I mean is a-
K-I-T-T-E-N, KITTEN!!!
